Michael Glanznig

Michael Glanznig

Michael is a predoctoral researcher at the Multidisciplinary Design Group, Institute of Design and Assessment of Technology at the Vienna University of Technology. He holds a Joint MSc in Cognitive Science from University of Vienna & University of Ljubljana and a BSc in Media & Computer Science from Vienna University of Technology. Outside of academia he worked as interaction designer and web developer.

His research interests lie within phenomenology of human experience, user experience, and within methodology, here especially with mobile ethnography/diary studies. He is also the developer and maintainer of the FOSS Android app BeepMe for mobile diary studies (such as experience sampling or probes).

For fun he likes to design T-Shirts and to sing in choirs, where he did projects together with e.g. the Vienna Symphony and the Wiener Singakademie staged e.g. in the Wiener Konzerthaus, Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater and the Wiener Musikverein.
